Step 1: Accessing Trezor.io/Start®

Begin by navigating to Trezor.io/Start® in your web browser. This dedicated portal provides essential resources and guidance for setting up your Trezor device, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience from the start.

Step 2: Unboxing Your Trezor Device

Upon accessing Trezor.io/Start®, unbox your Trezor device and familiarize yourself with its components. You should find the Trezor device itself, a USB cable for connectivity, and a recovery seed card.

Step 3: Connecting Your Trezor

Connect your Trezor device to your computer or mobile device using the provided USB cable. This establishes a secure connection and allows you to interact with your Trezor device through the Trezor.io/Start® interface.

Step 4: Initializing Your Trezor

Follow the on-screen instructions provided on Trezor.io/Start® to initialize your Trezor device. This involves setting up a PIN code—an essential security measure to prevent unauthorized access to your wallet.

Step 5: Backup Your Recovery Seed

During the initialization process, your Trezor device will generate a recovery seed—a sequence of 12 to 24 words. It's crucial to write down this seed accurately on the provided recovery seed card and store it in a safe and secure location. Your recovery seed serves as a backup for your wallet and is essential for restoring access in case your Trezor device is lost, stolen, or damaged.
